We have been alerted to an issue involving a website link printed in several books from the “According to Humphrey” series by Betty G. Birney. The web address included at the back of these books has been compromised and no longer directs readers to safe or relevant content. Instead, it now leads to a website that is unsafe and inappropriate.
As a precautionary measure, all affected titles are being withdrawn from school libraries with immediate effect. We are also asking families to check at home to see whether they have copies of these books.
If your child has a school-owned copy, please return it to the school as soon as possible so it can be safely removed and disposed of. If the book is privately owned, we strongly recommend that it is disposed of securely to prevent any accidental access to the compromised website.
This action is being taken to ensure the continued safety and wellbeing of our pupils. Thank you for your cooperation and support in helping us maintain a safe reading environment.
